Yorkshire Open Brewhouse Beer Festival

Our Yorkshire Open Brewhouse Beer Festival is less than a week away now! As usual with our yearly Open Brewhouse Beer Fest we will be releasing an exclusive range of one off collaborations. This time around we have teamed up with some of Yorkshire's finest to create a very special series of beers. We're proud to announce that on 31st July we will be launching brews with the following collaborators:

Bad Co. Brewing
Northern Monk
Bad Seed
Ghost Brewing

Alongside these we will have a wide selection of guest ales sourced from all across Yorkshire. Expect to see the likes of Ilkley, Great Heck, Exit 33, Brass Castle, Magic Rock, Roosters, Saltaire and Summer Wines on the bar at Tap East throughout our festival weekend.

And if that wasn't enough we will also be serving up some tasty pies from our friends in north Yorkshire, True Foods.

So if you're in London for the Yorkshire day weekend (yes, such a thing exists and it's on 1st August) then Tap East is the place to be. See you there 31st July - 2nd August.

Yorkshire Open Brewhouse Beer Festival 31st July - 2nd August 2015

That's right, the Tap East Open Brewhouse Beer Festival is returning, this time with a northern twist.

We have been busy creating a brand new series of one off collaborative brews with some of Yorkshire's best breweries. Bad Co., Wharfbank, Northern Monk and Bad Seed are amongst those we have teamed up with. Details of the new beers will be released soon, but they will all be available for the first time at Tap East from the 31st July - 2nd August.

Alongside our collaborations we will also have a range of guest ales available, sourced from some of Yorkshire's finest. So make sure you don't miss out, if you're in London on Yorkshire Day (Saturday 1st August), it's the beer drinkers place to be!

Tap East Summer Blonde Launch on Beer Day Britain

To coincide with the UK's first national beer day on Monday 15th June - Beer Day Britain - we are launching our brand new summer seasonal ale.

The Tap East Summer Blonde is a 4.5% pale beer brewed with Australian Summer hops, to create a light, fruity, easy drinking ale perfect for a hot sunny day.

The 15th June also happens to be the 800 year anniversary of the sealing of the Magna Carta, which contains within it a mention of "a single measure for ale" in Article 35. What better way to acknowledge the historic role of brewing and ale in the UK than spending this year's Beer Day Britain drinking a brand new recipe brewed this summer for the first time at our 2.5 barrel plant?

The Summer Blonde will be available on cask at Tap East for the first time from 6:00pm on Monday 15th June. Let's hope the sun is shining!

Chocolate Mild Launch

To celebrate "Mild May" we will be releasing a one off version of our regular favourite East End Mild. The Tap East Mild was one of the first brews we released and has been one of our core range beers since early 2012. We are very excited then to be launching a special chocolate version this year. The special edition has been brewed with additional chocolate malts as well cocoa nibs, giving the beer that additional bitter sweet chocolate flavour. The brew itself will be available on cask from 6pm on Thursday 7th May 2015. When it's gone it's gone, so be sure not to miss out!
